Bed wetting

I have had my fair share of children wetting the bed. I learned from my friend Rindee (check out her oil blog)  how cypress could be used for bed wetting.  Cypress oil is used for its benefits on the urinary system.  So I started using it. I apply a few drops to the child's (name withheld) bladder area before bed and to the bottoms of the feet.  Well he hasn't wet the bed in 2 nights. I am going to need to use this method for a month at least to help this, but I am definitely keeping my fingers crossed. I will keep an update.
Cypress oil is also great for asthma, spasmodic coughs, influenza, cramps, scar tissue, reducing cellulite (cool huh!), energy, gallbladder, and much more.

What would you grab?

I love my oils, I can't believe I ever lived without them. I now have an amazing "tool box" to grab for the day to day incidentals, and the resources to learn from to find out how to help my family and friends with more serious problems.  I feel so blessed to have these.  As a mother in these last days it can get scary.  Health care is so expensive and most of the time you are back at square one.  These oils truly make my feel like I am more prepared for the future. I can treat bee-stings, cuts, pulled muscles, and a wide range of emotional stresses. Just to name a few.  I know that the medical world is so important and has its place, but I also know a mother and a father can really learn how to take care of their children with inspiration and studying. There is a saying, it goes like this..."I have a oil for that"....it is true. It is also kinda fun. Fun to know you have answers.  I urge all those who wonder if they work to open a bottle and use them. That is the trick. Just open that bottle and get your own story.

Knock out the Knot

I have a chronic knot in my neck. When it inflames and I get a headache that goes from my head all the way down my back on the right side. I have been in misery forever.  It is triggered by stress and a busy life. It often feels like a screw driver stuck in my neck.  I rub the Deep Blue into the knot and on my shoulder. (Sometimes down the muscle on my back if I have someone to apply it). I follow that with Peppermint. It really has an immediate effect.  The Deep Blue Blend has Wintergreen in it which gives it a cortisone-like property. It also contains Blue Tansy and other analgesic oils which means it is a substance which relives pain.  My Deep Blue has a smell that is truly calming to me.  I smell it just because all the time. Peppermint is in the oil blend, but I follow the Deep Blue with more peppermint because I want that strong cooling sensation that it gives me.  The combination of the two has been a life savor, because in the past I would of grabbed a ibuprofen and it wouldn't give me relief. Soooo Happy!

Sleeping Man

My husband said to me, "That Serenity is lethal".   He had a hard time sleeping before serenity. Now we are on our second bottle. I use it too. Put a couple drops in a little water and drink down. Also apply to feet. I love to put a drop in my hands to rub all over my face. It is awesome.
I have used it on my children when they are needing some calmning down. Yes, the serenity works....but I am sure the touching of their feet and holding them is the right medicine also. Thats what I love about oils, hands-on.

Recipes for Water AND other drinks!

I have never loved drinking water. I have looked for things to flavor my water for a long time.  I even have a very great filter.  (RO).  I have used the flavored drink mix-ins (the ones with stevia), but that gets expensive. So when I first got my Lemon oil I tried it and it worked. Loved it. I now drink tons of water and I am cleansing my body(liver).  Lemon is a quick energizer, it also helps with colds, flu, and respiratory infections. It can improve circulation and is an excellent antibacterial agent. Put it directly on fingernails to strengthen them.
I make several different drinks. Recipes:
Drink 1:
1 qt of water
2-4 drops of Lemon
Stevia to taste
Lots of  Ice

Hot headaches

I love to cycle and exercise outdoors.  I always get so hot. I get terrible headaches because I get so hot and don't sweat very much.  Every time I get done exercising I put peppermint oil on my forehead, temples, feet and back of neck. I also drink some.  It cools me so great. It kinda feels like magic. It has really helped me not get the headaches, something I have lived with for years.  I also use it for normal headaches.
I use Peppermint, and Digestion for tummy aches. I also use Peppermint for stress and to uplift my mood.  Yes, I drink some every morning before serving the hungry children staring at me.
Peppermint is that kind of oil that helps you absorb other oils better also.

"I finally feel like I have control"

Talking about Lemon, Lavender, Peppermint, and OnGuard, my sister told me yesterday she finally feels like she has control of Doctoring her family.  She can't believe the difference it has made. She said when sicknesses come or any ailment, she has answers.

Never a Winter without Breathe

I have used this Breathe Essential Oil Blend for 3 winters. It has saved me. Sicknesses comes and I am not worried.  I add a carrier oil such as olive oil or coconut oil to 3-5 drops of Breath and apply it to the bottoms of my child's feet and rub it on their chest and back. It helps to open the airways of the sinuses, good for the sinus headache.  I have been amazed how it has quieted the cough.   My oldest had a terrible stuffed up nose. I applied the oil under his nose (careful to not get it too close to his eyes) and put some in the diffuser so he could breath it in during his homework time.  Then the next morning did the same. He actually asks me to "dr him".  It really helped his severity of his cold.  I have also purchased a little tiny container that he can take to school and it has a pad in it that you place the oil on and they  can keep it in their pocket to make  it through the day. They are called Essential Oil Inhalers.http://www.aromatools.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=inhalers(He is 13 and trustworthy)
My first experience with Breathe was when I had a cold. I didn't have my diffuser and I put some oil drops on some tissue and put it in a closed small jar and carried it around with me. Every time I thought of it I would take the lid off and take a deep breath in. The smell would go right to my sinus and start to dr. them. It helped to clear up my cold and also helped with the symptoms. It felt good.
The past few winter it has been such a blessing when my babies would get sick, had a terrible cough.  (Maybe even croup).  I would put it on their chest and zip up their pjs. (So they would touch it). I also put some in my hands and rubbed it on their blankets.  Smells so healing.
Just a note... It won't really hurt their eyes if they get it in them,  but to them it hurts. Use carrier oil like vegetale oil to get it out because oil and water don't mix.
Breathe addresses these: Asthma, Bronchitis, Congestion, Cold and Flu, Cough, Respiratory Stress.
